Texas has been a wonderful addition to our breeding program - adding some European flair! Out of the breathtaking Fledder from the Netherlands and beautiful girl Breedie from Norway, I am just thrilled to own this guy.
Texas has had a very successful dog show career - finishing his championship in 2012, his grand championship in 2014 and going on to win an Award of Merit award at the 2014 ABTC National Specialty under esteemed breeder judge Dr. Rory Friedow as well as a third place in Stud dog at the same specialty. Not to be stopped, Texas won an Award of Merit at the prestigious Westminster show in 2015 as well as many Best of Breeds at supported entry shows. He also earned his Canine Good Citizen, his rally novice title, beginner novice obedience title and his herding instinct certificate.
Texas has an amazing temperament - so sweet with everyone - all ages of people and is friendly to other dogs - males, females and puppies.
But the moments out of the ring mean so much more, just his loving and calming presence in my life. From his signature “hugging stretches” to just laying at my feet or on my bed he is always there for me. He also has surpassed my expectations as a sire – with four litters on the ground out of Justine, Molly and Lilly. He produced some awesome Tervuren – show dogs, performance dogs and cherished family companions. He truly added many positive attributes to my breeding program and I am forever grateful to his breeders for letting him come over from Norway to be my boy! I truly cherish every day I have with my "Texas Toast".
